Avo Syncro Caribe Robusto 11/14/21

Appearance
A milk chocolate colored wrapper with a few prominent veins, tightly wrapped nearly invisible seams and a light oil sheen. The filler bunch is well packed with no apparent soft spots.

Aroma
Barnyard, earth, cocoa powder and mild spice on the wrapper leaf.
Vanilla bean, cedar and mild spice at the foot.

Prelight Draw
Black licorice, peanuts, cedar, dark chocolate and white pepper spice.

1st
The initial draws bring notes of cedar and mild spice. The ash is medium gray, stacked and starting to bloom(like petals of a rose). The draw is perfect. The burn has a little wave to it. Chocolate notes ease into the profile. Strength is medium. Smoke production is at the medium range. The ash held though not quite straight and definitely suspicious, until removal.

2nd
Ash issues have subsided and burn is spot on. Mild vanilla bean joins the profile. Peanuts join the profile as well. The profile is well balanced and flavorful albeit a little dry on the palate prompting me to take a sip of water. Smoke production increases to the low end of high range. The finish is long with notes of cedar, earth, chocolate, vanilla bean, peanut and white pepper spice with a pinch of cinnamon all wrapped in a leathery texture.

Final/3rd
The well balanced and flavorful profile continues unchanged into the final/3rd. Faint black licorice notes ease into the profile. The profile remains consistent right to the nub.

Overall
The AVO Syncro Caribe Robusto provides an enjoyable smoking experience. A complex, well balanced and flavorful profile with a perfect draw and a razor sharp burn after a wavy start.
